While the bar previously was a JD Wetherspoon pub, and although we don't have anything against that particular chain, we prefer to run things a little differently.
Let's start with the afternoon, a soulful mix of music from Blues and Bluegrass to Jazz and Motown, creating a perfect atmosphere in which to have a coffee and an informal meeting, or maybe a beer while you do some important internet work (or just Facebook) with our 8meg wireless broadband. All we suggest is that you bring your own laptop.

It's evening time, the lights go down, as the mood picks up. With every table being candle-lit and the tunes being just as smooth, we're the ideal place for a date, a small gathering of old friends or workmates. Or maybe you've been at a show up the road at the Roundhouse, and you need somewhere to discuss how good the gig was. Whatever the occasion, we've got it covered. To be honest, we like our bar so much you're pretty much guaranteed to find at least one of the staff hanging around after a shift has finished.

What does the weekend hold?
A standard weekend will find our two resident DJ's sharing the nights, usually with Marky J-Killer doing his classic to the obscure mix of 70's to 00's tunes on a Friday. Then Saturday filled with MizBehave with MizMilla and special guests pulling out the best indie records of recent days and years gone by.
But that's just a standard one. Look out on our listings page for full details, bust we regularly host Ultimate Power playing all the ballads from Meatloaf to Marie McKee; DJ's Grimble and Porn once a month giving you a healthy mix of dirty retro and funky cheese. Plus loads of other nights popping up sporadically such as Reject Musical Trash, Play it by Ear, and this year for our first year we will also be playing host to the Red Stripe Camden Crawl.

With four drinking areas separated by nothing but stairs, a beer garden and bar with enough space for any group of friends to perch, it's the ideal place for booking out for a party, or just to come some friends. And why not try something from our menu, we're constantly adapting it by adding new meals every week.
