Welcome to The Monarch, located in the heart of Chalk Farm Rd, Camden. By day, it’s a stylish Dickensian pub. By night, it’s a bar & boutique gig venue hosting some of the the best of Camden’s alternative DJs, bands & musicians. Good pub food in The Monarch

The Monarch chef uses fresh produce to serve up tasty traditional English pub food from 12 noon to 10pm every day (8pm on Sundays). Have a look at our menu. In the afternoon, there’s the chance to grab a quiet coffee or a cheeky sherbert while listening to a mix of laid back alternative tunes. You can even do your important internet work (or just Facebook) via the bar’s Wi-Fi connection.

Live Music in The Monarch

In the evening, the lights go down as the mood picks up. On the weekends, The Monarch plays host to a number of great club nights from Soundtracks to Nuisance to We Will Pop You. The Monarch is the ideal pub for a night out with friends or workmates, a place to meet before or after a concert, an opportunity to catch a gig featuring some of London’s best up and coming bands or attend a crazy club night.

Special Offers

The Monarch now runs happy hour from 5pm to 8pm on Fridays. Pints of Strongbow and Fosters cost £3, and house spirit and mixer will set you back only £2.50. Also on Fridays from 5pm to 10pm, there’s a free plate of nachos for table bookings of four or more people.
