Hey, The Queen has given us an extra bank holiday for some reason! So thanks for that, ma’am. We’re going to celebrate by putting on a couple of shows and getting boozy. Fitting around our normal activities, on June 4th, lies Loverlie Jubilee, put together by the folks at Filthy Lucre Promotions. Headlined by Phillious Williams and their heavy blues, country type vibes; The Legras bring more of a mod flavour to the table; Arkansas Dust have a bit of a Tom Waits growl going on. Doors 7pm and entry is only £3.
And cos we’ve got a late licence, we’re having a party til, er, late! The boys behind Soundtracks have put together Monarchy In The UK, which was obviously too much of a good pun to go to waste. Expect a playlist of 100% British music! Trainspotters get your notepads out in case any of the band members are from Sweden or something, then you can go up and complain. They’ll love that. Entry to this part of the night of joy is FREE.
